I got great value for my money at this hostel. The room was clean and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities. The location was convenient, just a short walk from the center and the Ado station. The staff treated me with utmost politeness and were always ready to help.
The only thing that could make the breakfast better was if there were more options available.

The room at Hostal Barrio Vivo was absolutely cozy and comfortable. I instantly felt at home with its warm ambiance and personal touch. The private bathroom and comfy bed linen added to the overall comfort level. As someone who values coziness and a homely atmosphere, this room met all my expectations.
Personally, I found the room a bit small for my liking. However, I understand that some guests might still appreciate the cozy size and find it charming.

The buffet breakfast at this charming hostel is a real treat for your taste buds. Each morning, a wide array of delicious dishes is available, satisfying even the heartiest of appetites. I was in foodie heaven, indulging in the breakfast spread that was the size of a runway model's wardrobe.
AC only from 8pm onwards

The location of the hotel is quite far from any attractions or amenities, making it inconvenient. the lack of public transportation options means that guests have to either walk for 40 minutes in the heat or rely on expensive taxis.
The lack of windows in the ladies' dorm and the automatic air conditioning system created an uncomfortable sleeping environment. the room felt stuffy during the day and too chilly at night due to the AC only operating from 9 pm onwards.

The best hostel I've ever stayed at! The staff was super friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with anything we needed. The fully equipped kitchen was a huge plus, as we were able to cook our own meals and save money. The breakfast was amazing, with a wide range of options including eggs, fruits, toast, and jam. We also loved the fact that the rooms were spacious and had curtains for privacy. The location was great, close to restaurants and supermarkets. And the best part? The hostel had a pool, table games, and musical instruments for us to enjoy during our stay.
That the dorm rooms were a bit crowded and had poor air circulation. There were too many beds in one room and it felt a bit stuffy.

Convenient location in a good neighborhood near a park. Chill common areas and sunny pool. Highly recommended for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

I had an incredible experience at this hostel! The beds were so comfortable and the staff was fantastic. They were friendly and always willing to help with any questions or concerns I had. The common areas were spacious and well-maintained. I loved hanging out in the downstairs area, especially on hot days because the fans kept it nice and cool. The breakfast provided was delicious and the kitchen facilities were well-equipped. The location was also great, just a short walk from the ADO station and within walking distance to the city center. this hostel had everything I could ask for!
Absolutely nothing to say about dislikes.

The rooms at Hostal Barrio Vivo are cozy and comfortable, with a private bathroom that adds to the convenience. I love the feeling of having my own space to relax after a long day of exploring the vibrant city of Merida. The bed linen is clean and crisp, ensuring a good night's sleep. It really feels like a home away from home.
Some might find the selection of amenities a bit limited, but hey, we're here to experience the city, not spend all day in our rooms!

The rooms at Hostal Barrio Vivo are cozy and comfortable, with a private bathroom and fresh bed linen. I felt relaxed and at home, making it easy to unwind after a long day exploring Merida.
Personally, I found the beds a bit too firm for my liking. However, I understand that some people may prefer a firmer mattress for a good night's sleep.

The rooms at Hostal Barrio Vivo were cozy and comfortable. I loved how the private bathroom was clean and provided all the necessities. The bed linen was soft and inviting, making it easy to unwind and relax after a long day exploring the beautiful city. As someone who values nature and simplicity, these rooms were a perfect fit for me.
The only downside for me was that the rooms didn't offer a view of the surrounding nature. But hey, that's just my personal preference.

Absolutely mind-blowing experience! The staff were super friendly and the hostel felt like a cozy home with a jaw-dropping pool and kitchen. The coffee shop overlooking the park was a great touch. The dorms and bathrooms were super comfortable and clean. Can't forget about the awesome common areas, including the bar/lounge area, leisure/TV room, and board games. The shared kitchen was fully equipped, perfect for preparing meals. The locker room and luggage storage ensured our belongings were safe. The 24-hour security made us feel secure throughout our stay. Plus, the free welcome drink was a nice surprise. And let's not forget the seamless Wi-Fi connection. An overall incredible experience!

Loved the buffet breakfast, felt like I was competing in a cooking show. So many options to choose from, it was a breakfast extravaganza!
Oh, the joy of staying in a windowless room with dripping showers and humid air. It was like living in a tropical sauna, but without the relaxation.
